For the last couple of years I have been using the form of the head for works looking at belief, identity, and the way in which consumer culture creates a branded self to be bought and inhabited by the consumer. Powerful commercial interests are behind much of this, yet throughout history archetypal characters (hero, god / goddess) have been held up to be admired and feared; they can sometimes be glimpsed in the reflective surfaces of the digital age.
